JouleX: Save money, save energy

JouleX's energy management system can help companies save money by saving on energy costs.
Although energy efficiency is a hot trend among business owners right now, it typically focuses on the building’s energy efficiency. Onsite renewable energy, green roofs, and LEED designed buildings are just a few ways that companies are creating a more energy efficient facility. However, it is just as important to focus on the energy use of what goes in the building, as it is to ensure that the building itself is as energy efficient as possible.
To help facilitate this process, JouleX has created an enterprise level energy management system. The system monitors, analyzes, and manages the energy use of any network-connected device. This includes standard information technology infrastructure devices like individual workstations, servers, and printers but it also includes anything else that may be connected to the network including HVAC systems and other facility management products.
The JouleX Energy Manager (JEM) system can reduce energy costs by up to 60 percent thanks to a three-stage approach: monitor, analyze, and manage. After collecting data on all network devices, the system will analyze that data to determine how the company can reduce energy use on a specific device, during a specific time frame, or even at an individual business location. At this point the system manages the energy use through a complex system of planning, simulation, optimization, and more.
